Good news, Bad news : PULSE Showerspas 1011-CH Kauai Retro-Fit Rain Shower System with Handshower and Adjustable Slide Bar, Chrome Finish

I bought this showerhead Fall 2009 for a remodel of our existing bathroom.

The bad news--as everyone else has noted, there is a major problem with the actuator valve, resulting in a pitiful trickle from the handheld showerhead.
The manufacturer told me they'd had problems with it and sent me a new valve.
It was worse than the original valve.

The good news--we paid $19 for a two-way, add-on generic shower diverter valve at a big-box home improvement store and the results are amazing. The big rainfall showerhead is delightful, and the handheld shower has plenty of power, with a massage feature that really pounds away sore muscles.

But please note that while we are now delighted with our showerheads, this was after my husband jerry-rigged the thing. The manufacturer's valve is worthless.
And because of this, I can't recommend this shower system to anyone.
